Abstract:
Epic music is relatively young, popular and constantly forming genre whose foundations can be found in film and trailer music. Along with these genres, epic music brings lots of common features but appropriately, it is different from three main aspects that is visual independence, shorter acoustic track and emotionality. Music companies, producing trailer music, compose emotional epic music for their fans only for listening. The reseach examined whether epic music is really emotional music, if it causes intenser emotions characteristic defining for the genre. The experiment in a form of the questionnaire was participated by 55 respondents who partly confirmed this hypothetis.
